We started out years ago as a building company doing general construction. After developing our own brand of pergolas and due to their popularity, we decided to concentrate our energies into just pergolas, providing three options - Curved Pergolas, Flat Pergolas and Custom Made Pergolas.
We serve the Bay of Plenty including Katikati, Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, Papamoa and Te Puke.
Our most popular product is our curved aluminium pergola, which we manufacture to a superior standard. Steve Tucker, the owner/operator of RCH Construction, has more than 30 years experience in the building trade and places great importance on the quality of work done.

As a Licensed Building Practitioner with many years of experience, Steve is able to offer his skills and experience to his customers. Curved Pergol (formerly known as RCH Construction) is a Licensed Building Practitioner, which is a government scheme to ensure that the quality of building work meets high standards set by the organisation. According to their website -
"If you’re thinking of getting building or renovation work done on your house or apartment, you need to check if it’s ‘restricted building work’ (RBW). If it is, you’ll need a licensed building practitioner – or LBP – to do it. Restricted building work involves the building’s structure, weather tightness, and design of fire safety systems.
Because this work is so important, it’s only allowed to be done by licensed building practitioners (LBPs). LBPs are assessed before getting licensed, and have to maintain their skills to keep their licence. Restricted building work, and the requirement to use LBPs to do it, was brought in on 1 March 2012 (through changes to the Building Act 2004)."
You can learn more about the LBP scheme here.

We are thrilled with it. The standard of service an workmanship given was brilliant. We live in a very high wind zone at the top of a hill. We had our doubts as to wether the roof would stand the very high winds and storms we get, but Steve told us not to worry and that the Pergola would hold firm and he was absolutely right !Lin and Nick Wetherill
We are more than happy with the Curved pergola. It has increased our living area, but feels like we are still outside. The quality of the finish on the pergola is A1. Before we looked at a Curved Pergola, we looked at another brand and were not satisfied with the cheap looking brackets and poor plated bolts and nuts, but with the Curved Pergola ,there are no fasteners and brackets visible. Super fast erection as well.Daryl Nitschke
I was recommended Curved Pergolas by a neighbour, and after an initial phone call, I arranged a measure and quote. Six weeks later, and only a two day build, I now have a functional and good looking pergola over my decking. It has made all the difference to my home.Stewart Goodwin, Papamoa Beach
